As the Indian event Diwali was approaching, I felt that if I was to go to the Gurdwara and ask politely of family and friends if i could take a few shots of them, As I felt this would look amazing on my contents page. However unfortunately, due to the protest in India and sikhs being treated unfairly. This year British Indians called for a "Black Diwali" to show respect to those Sikhs who have died in India.
I was aware of these events however still expected I was aloud to take images of the area and the scenery. But they informed me I was not aloud to take pictures of anything.
I was disappointed with the outcome, although I did understanding the reasoning to this situation.
However I will still be incorporating the festival of Diwali in my double page spread and use candles to signify the ritual in my nest photo shoot.
