Planning: Initial Ideas

One of my worries for producing a magazine in this extremely niche market, is that the research will be increasingly difficult as i have no current magazine structure or codes and conventions to follow. However this also excites me as it shows me there is likely to be a higher demand. In my spare time i have been casually questioning family and friends from the same culture as me if they would be interested in an Indian Music magazine like i will be creating and they have seen to be increasingly excited.

Also due to wanting my magazine to actually appeal to a more diverse audience and not only those from the Indian culture, using British magazines such as Q as inspiration will then help appeal to the wider audience. As my main target audience is British Indians who want to engage with their roots, therefore i will be using a mix of British and Indian designs to create a more modern take of the magazine.
