Research: Magazine that caught my eye

When I walked past this magazine stall, the "HELLO!" Queen article magazine stood out instantly although was not placed at the top or at the front.

I feel this is due to the manipulation of the image which makes the Queen, very bright and vibrant. I also feel that the magazine caught my eye as the image and the tiara is over lapping the masthead. The colour of the image is also very contrasting to the house style of the magazine which is red. The blue San serif font contrasting with the image also attracts the reader to then fulfil their curiosity of the Queen being on a magazine.

How this has influenced my creativity and ideas:

I shall ensure my image is manipulated enough so that it as noticeable and sharp as the Hello magazine has be, I shall also ensure the image of the artist overlaps the masthead slightly as I feel this helps emphasise the importance of the image.
